Well, the older Japanese and Japanese who think it uncool do not like Otaku. Many can’t understand why we outside Japan have taken up the name. Most assume we do understand the language and the culture.
In the 21st century in Japan people are are taking up the banner of Otaku because of what has happened worldwide with the word. I am writing an essay and a Panel about the Otaku Culture in Japan and around the world. It will posted here.
